Weeknight Schedule

Saturday | July 15

Mantua Dam Race

7:00 AM | Park Bowery

Join us on Saturday July 15, or 5 miles of running around the beautiful Mantua Reservoir in our annual Little Valley Damn Race! We will also be holding a 1 mile walk/kids run.

Start time is 7 am or the 5 mile race and 8:30 am for the 1 mile race. The start and finish for both races will be located at the Main Street Mantua Park. Registration cost is $30 for the 5 mile race and $25 for the 1 mile. They will both be chip timed. We have some great prizes lined up for the overall winners!

**REGISTER BY JULY 2ND AT MIDNIGHT TO GUARANTEE A RACE SHIRT!!**

Race day registration will be available from     6:15-6:45 the morning of the race for $35, but you will most likely not receive a T-shirt. Packet pickup will be Friday July 14th from 6-8 pm at the Main Street Park. You will also be able to pick up your packet on race day from 6:15 – 6:50 am.

Parade

Don’t let the parade pass you by. Grab your chair, your shade, your smile and of course your candy sack. Or be a part of the parade and sign up — tractors, horses, bikes, cars, floats, side-by-sides, walkers, runners, and scoopers. Either way, you won’t want to miss out in the fun on Saturday morning.

Booths will run from 11:00-2:00

To participate, you will need to purchase a wristband which will cover all activities (booths are one-time only as prizes are limited).

Wristbands are $5 when bought in advance at any of the weekday activities and $7 when purchased the day-of (Saturday).

Quilt Show

11:00 AM - 7:00 PM | Town Hall

The quilt show will be from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturday. It will be in the town building. We will have a fundraising quilt on display. We’re calling it a “Summertime Sampler Quilt”. Tickets will be $1.00 each and can be purchased at the Quilt Show or at the fundraiser booth. All proceeds will be donated to the town.

Shooting Contest

12:00 - 2:00 PM | Gun Range

Al Smart, of the Box Elder Wildlife Federation, will be managing the gun range Saturday, July 15th as a Little Valley Days shooting range from noon – 1:30pm.  While this shooting event is designed for the youth, it is open to all ages.  Bring a 22 and ammunition or a rim fire with ammunition and just sign up.  There is no pre-registration.  This is a good opportunity to teach the school age youth the importance of gun safety.

Horseshoe Tournament

12:00 PM | Park

Horseshoe tournament starting at 12:00 sharp. Bring your 2-man team for a fun single elimination tournament. Prizes for the winning team and a drawing with prizes for all participants. Nothing like tossing a curved piece of metal at a stick to prove your dominance over your friends and neighbors. Sign up day of at the park at noon at the horseshoe pits.

Boating Events

1:00-4:00 PM | Lake

In honor of 38 years with Mark & Wendy Parker running the Golden Spike Iron Horse H2o Ski Tournaments for little valley days, we are continuing this tradition.

Anyone who would like to learn to slalom ski, water ski, surf, wake skate or wakeboard, can sign up for a time slot between 1:00-4:00pm, as we will have 2 boats available.

There is a $10 gas and participation fee and a waiver must be signed prior to the Little Valley Days Event.

Greased Pole Climb

12:00 - 1:00 PM | Park

Fun (albeit clothing-destroying) activity for kids. A tall pole will be slathered in grease and money pinned to it at differing heights. Kids attempt to climb the pole to achieve their monetary dreams.

Watermelon Contest

1:00-1:30 PM | Park

Join with your friends and neighbors in a good old fashioned watermelon eating contest. Win or lose, you walk away with a stomach full of free watermelon.

Candy Cannon

1:30 PM | Park

Candy Cannon will be shot into the sky showering kids with what will become a field of dreams. Speed and dexterity are required. Come to the main field south of the town hall. Your kids will love it.

Fire Truck Slide and Foam Party

2:00 PM | Park

Join us for the fire truck slip in slide. We are excited to announce that this year we have brought back the foam machine for extra foaming fun. All children are welcome to come cool off.

Eliminator Game

3:00 - 7:00 | Park Bowery

Bring your friends and come test your skills in coordination, balance and speed on the Eliminator!

$5 a person.

Kayak Races

Meet at the lake at 3:00 to show your speed and skill as a kayaker! All ages and abilities welcome, please register before if possible so we know who to plan on for the races that day.

Fundraiser Drawing

7:30 | Park

Any donations for the raffle are welcomed and appreciated. All proceeds used to fund future Little Valley Day celebrations and fireworks shows. Tickets will be sold in the park pavilion all day Saturday. TICKET SALES WILL END AT 7:15. The drawing will be at 7:30. Must be present to win.

Line Dance Instruction

Always had a dream to learn a few more line dances than the Boot Skootin’ Boogie? Come have some fun learning something new. All the cool people in town will be doing it. Be one of them.

Music and Dancing

8:30 - 10:00 PM | Park

DJ will be there this year playing all kinds of music for dancing. Song requests are welcome here or in person. Donations will be excepted to move your requested song to the top of the list!
